Address: 2045 Ponce De Leon Ave., NE

Application of St. Ilias Orthodox Church for a Special Land Use Permit to allow a Place of Worship on property located in the R-85 zoning district. The property is located at the southeast intersection of Ponce De Leon Avenue, Ponce De Leon Manor and East Lake Road. The property has frontage of 319 feet along East Lake Road and 517 feet along Ponce De Leon Manor and contains 2.65 acres. This is an existing Place of Worship. The applicant is proposing to expand the existing social hall, expand existing church, and make parking lot renovations.

Application of First Baptist Church for a Special Land Use Permit to allow Place of Worship in the R-75 zoning district. The property is located on the southwest side of Flat Shoals Road and eastside of Gresham Road. The property has frontage of 436 feet along Gresham Road, 629 feet along Flat Shoals Road, and contains 4.5 acres. Subject property is currently used as a Place of Worship. The applicant is proposing to open a Day Care Center within the existing educational building.

Application of Boys and Girls Clubs of Metro Atlanta, Inc. for a Special Land Use Permit to allow a Neighborhood Recreation Club in the R-75 zoning district. The property is located on the eastern side of North Druid Hills Road, northern side of Briarwood Road and southern side of Sylvan Circle. The property has frontage of 464 feet along Briarwood Road, 517 feet along North Druid Hills Road, 467 feet along Sylvan Circle and contains 6.233 acres. The applicant is proposing to construct a training center, gym vestibule and computer room.

Application of W.L.S. Associates, Inc. for Newlife Baptist Church for a Special Land Use Permit to allow a Place of Worship in the R-75 zoning district. The property is located on the eastern side of Snapfinger Road, 262 feet southerly of Browns Mill Road. Property has frontage of 1012 feet along Snapfinger Road and contains 10.5 acres. The applicant is proposing to construct a 3,914foot expansion of the existing sanctuary building to be used as classroom and administration.

Application of Hanif Chaudhary for Masjid Al-Momineen of Stone Mountain, Inc. for a Special Land Use Permit to allow a Place of Worship in the R-85 zoning district. Property is located on the eastern side of Indian Creek Drive and western side of Market Street approximately 175 feet southerly from Jameson Place. Property has frontage of 461 feet along North Indian Creek Drive and 488 feet along Market Street and contains 4.97 acres. The applicant is proposing to construct a new sanctuary building, parking, and use two existing buildings for accessory purposes.

Address: 1350 Hearst Drive, NE

Application of Kathryn Zickert for Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church for a Special Land Use Permit to allow a Place of Worship in the R-100 zoning district. Property is located at the northern most point of Lanier Drive and is completely bounded by Hearst Drive. Property has frontage of 2,320 feet on Hearst Drive and contains 8.799 acres. This is an existing Place of Worship. Applicant is proposing to construct a new 25,000 square foot (766 seat) sanctuary building, 10,000 square foot preschool/multi-use building, convert the old sanctuary into a parish hall and increase parking to provide a total of 221 parking spaces.

Application of James Frazier for Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses for a Special Land Use Permit to allow a Place of Worship in the R-85 zoning district: Property is located on the north side of Covington Highway 377 feet easterly from the centerline of Gregory Road. Property has 200 feet of frontage on Covington Highway and contains 3.00 acres. Subject property is currently vacant. Applicant is proposing to construct a 4999 square foot (195 seats) sanctuary building and 68-space parking lot.

Address: 000 Mountain View Drive

Application of Atlanta Mar Thoma Christian Church for a Special Land Use Permit to allow a Place of Worship in the R-100 zoning district. Property is located on the southwest side of Mountain View Drive approximately 50 feet southeasterly of South Trace. Property has 103 feet of frontage on Mountain View Drive and contains 5.1 acres. Applicant is proposing to construct a 12,500 square foot worship building (150 seats), which, will be used for sanctuary, Sunday school classrooms, offices, parsonage apartment (3 BR), assembly room, future classrooms, and a 105 space parking lot.

9. SLUP - 00039

Address: 2135 Shamrock Drive

Application of Light of the World Christian Tabernacle International, Inc. for a Special Land Use Permit to allow a Place of Worship in the R-75 zoning district. Property is located on the west side of Shamrock Drive and the north side of Kennard Lane. Property has frontage of 773 feet along Shamrock Drive, 146 feet along Kennard Lane and contains 3.164 acres. Subject property is currently used as a Place of Worship. Applicant is proposing to construct a 7,200 square foot Fellowship Hall\gymnasium.

10. SLUP - 00040

Commission Districts: 4 & 7

Address: 6751 Rockbridge Road

Application of Overcomers Christian Fellowship, Inc. for a Special Land Use Permit to allow a Place of Worship in the R-100 zoning district. Property is located on the south side of Rockbridge Road approximately 400 feet easterly from Stewart Mill Road. Property has 304 feet of frontage on Rockbridge Road and contains 5.2 acres. Subject property is currently vacant. Applicant is proposing to construct a new sanctuary building, which, will be used for worship services, day care center, and new parking lot.
